Walthamstow was recently voted as the best place to rent in London (in terms of cost, proximity to Central London, shopping and leisure possibilities). Walthamstow is perfect for day-to-day shopping. Several big supermarkets (Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Lidl) as well as famous Farmer’s market, are all close by. Hoe Street, the main street on Walthamstow has many pubs, clubs and restaurants that are popular among locals as well as among East Londoners in general.
closest metro station: Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line)
closest rail station: Walthamstow Central
travel time to King’s Cross: 11 minutes
travel time to Oxford Circus: 20 minutes
travel time to Liverpool street: 15 minutes (National Rail Services)
Walthamstow is also well connected to Central London after the metro has been closed. Night buses N55 (bus starts from Oxford Circus) and N73 (bus starts from Victoria) run in every 10-15 mins.
Although there was a bit of confusion in the beginning after my room was changed at the last minute to a house nearby, what followed more than made up for that little hassle. Communications with the EURooms team went smooth and all my questions were answered swiftly and clearly. The few problems that I had (window not shutting right, for example) were also solved very quickly. I was able to spend my time in London focusing on my internship and doing a bit of sightseeing instead of having to deal with accommodation problems, (which, as I heard from other people happens quite often). Summed up: 5 stars from me. ;)
I lived in the Eurooms, west arbour street property for about 1 year and what I can say is that the place is really good, well located, the housemates are friendly and the house is really good. Everything you need you can find here, even if you are letting for a short term. Thank you for everything, Eurooms. See you one day!
EUROOMS is a great service, with very friendly and highly professional staff. They offer flexibility of a hotel, with respect to the duration of rent, while charging prices competitive with the free market. Having rented from EUROOMS four times, I was never disappointed.
